There are two new Disney Villains books arriving in July that will delight young readers who enjoy tales from the villainous side of the Disney franchise. Disney Villains

Disney Villains: Maleficent is a Level 1 World of Reading book designed for young readers from Kindergarten to the First Grade. It features simple text, colorful illustrations, and plenty of word repetition to help teach new words and concepts. Another nice feature of the book is the handy character guide on the first page that also features a great question to get young minds thinking about what they’re about to read.

The book is told from Maleficent’s point of view as she takes the reader along for a front-row seat to her misdeeds. The author, Steve Behling, does a great job telling a story that is fun for not only the child reading it, but the adult who will undoubtedly help the young reader go through it.

Disney’s 5-Minute story collection continues to be one of their best lines of children’s books for ages 3 and up. The book is over 200 pages long and perfect for storytime before naps and bedtime. The book is comprised of twelve different stories written and illustrated by some of the most talented storytellers working for Disney right now; including Calliope Glass, Brittany Rubiano, and Megan Bryant to name just a few.

The book features the collection’s signature padded cover that makes it easy to hold for little hands and grown-up hands alike. Within it, you will find the villainous deeds of Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Scar.

Disney Villains: Maleficent is out July 6th, with 5-Minute Villains arriving on July 13th. Both would make the perfect vacation pick for your young reader.
