Today I am excited to announce that actress and model Gabriela Lopez has agreed to share some of her success tips. Gabriela is appearing in the upcoming movie, Anonymous Killers, with friend of the blog, Dominic Pace.
Actress and Model Discusses Success
My questions are in bold, Gabriela’s follow in plain text
About Gabriela Lopez
Gabriela Lopez is a Mexican-American actress and model. Originally from Guadalajara Mexico her family moved to California when she was 3 years old. Coming from humble beginnings, Gabriela lives on the creed of faith, family and love.
It’s those three things that drive her passion for success and inspires her to create a better world for those who are enamored by her actions. She always had a love for the arts but never had the intentions on becoming a part of it.
That was until a fateful day when a friend asked her to be a part of a film he wrote, which at first she questioned, and then happily obliged. The rest, as they say, is history. She has come to meet so many people across the world with her personality and charm, but we have yet to see the amazing talent that lies within this Latina bombshell.
How did you get started in acting?
Accidentally actually, a friend who then became my manager, we met out and she asked me why I moved to LA. I responded with “just for a different environment’ she pushed and pushed for me to get into acting so then I did.
I went on to book a few things here and there until I became SAG-Eligible and now we’re here!
What does a typical day look like?
I’m a trainer at F45 Venice and West Hollywood so I typically wake up around 5 am and go through a day of training classes.
Once I’m off, I get a workout in myself, I catch up on my daily news, hang out with the bf, anything chill and relaxing.
What is one thing you have learned from being successful?
I don’t know if I consider myself “successful.” I believe in constantly learning and growing.
I feel very lucky for all that I’ve been able to experience, so I guess when I feel I have reached that I’ll come back around and do this interview again!
Is there a mistake you have made starting out that you wish you could change?
I wasted a lot of time. One of the only things I consider priceless. Be careful where you invest your energy and stay focused!
What advice would you give someone starting out?
Audition and let it go!
Don’t stress in overthinking about why you didn’t get a call back or even booked!
Professionally, what are you most proud of?
My ability to take rejection so well!
As an actor you’ll get a hundred “no’s” before you get one maybe!
Looking back on your career, is there something you learned from the industry that you found surprising?
I guess the fact that everything is a business, headshots, classes, etc. etc.…
It’s important to stay on top of your education in whatever your career is.
It’s also frustrating to never feel as if the “headshots” are good enough. Silly LA
What advice would you have for people that are having difficulty making it in the industry?
Do Pros and Cons.
You have to have thick skin to play this game! Don’t give up!
If it was easy, we’d all be holding an Emmy!
Do you have any tips for people trying to become an actor?
Take the classes, surround yourself with others in your industry.
Never be the smartest person in the room!
If you could recommend one book to help people be more successful what would it be?
The Power of Now. Living in a big city means a ton of distractions.
Don’t get lost in the noise.
Any upcoming projects you are working on?
Anonymous Killers! One of the most fun roles I’ve gotten to play yet!
I can’t wait to share it with you all!
I would love to have you back on the blog, and when you can talk more about the movie, we would love to have you join us on the 2 Money Guys podcast.
What does your social media strategy look like? Any tips?
Be consistent! What are you good at? Be authentic!
Where can people connect with you online?
Facebook: Lourdes Gabriela Lopez
Do have any apps, books or tips that you use to be more productive?
Since I do fitness, people think I’m just always motivated to work out and eat healthy and that’s not the case at all! I have to constantly find my “WHY”.
We all have one BIG goal and the best way to get there is set smaller goals accomplish those and continue!
Don’t be so hard on yourselves!
Don’t get confused by social media and what people post!
Don’t compare yourselves to others!
No one is posting their challenging moments, only the highlight reel of their lives!
How do you manage time?
I use my calendar for everything!
What is the best advice you have received?
Never be the smartest person in the room!
Best room to be in is room for improvement!
Do you have any advice for people that may feel discouraged about reaching their goals?
I think most of us at least now and days feel this way more often than not because there’s too much to compare ourselves to.
You see people posting cars, movies booked, money, relationships etc. We want that, we feel as if were lacking something or else we’d have these things too.
Understand that we all go at our own pace and long as you continue to work hard and see small improvements, you’re on your way! SHORT STEPS LONG VISION mentality!
How import is fitness to success?
I believe good mental health is major! When we work out, our body releases a little thing called endorphins! I call it the “happy” hormone. They are produced by the central nervous system and the pituitary gland!
A natural HIGH! fitness to me has helped me maintain a balanced mind in a very unbalanced and uncertain career!
You are involved with a cool fitness app; can you tell us about it?
Yes, it’s called FitBy, it’s $10 a month for over 100 different types of workouts!
It’s a step by step for anyone who walks into a gym and doesn’t even know where to start!
Do you have anything you would like to promote?
Come train with me at either location F45 Venice or West Hollywood!
What is the one thing you wish everyone knew?
That things don’t bring you happiness.
Fame doesn’t bring you happiness.
All the money in the world doesn’t bring you happiness. it’s all temporary!
I’ve met a lot of wealthy, famous individuals who have everything and nothing at the same time! Find your “WHY”
We all want to have financial security sure, but make sure you’re doing it for more than just to acquire things! Find your passion, find your why… and I promise you that will have you feeling tingly forever!
Anything I should ask that I have not?
My “WHY” – three letters M-O-M
If you were going to train one of the superheroes, who would it be?
Deadpool. Cause he’s hilarious!
Thank You, Gabriela for sharing your success story!
Today I am thrilled to announce actress, filmmaker, and the perpetually positive Giovannie Espiritu, who has agreed to share her success story. My questions/comments are in bold, Giovannie’s follow in plain text Actress and filmmaker Giovannie Espiritu ( was nominated alongside Academy Award Nominees Alfre Woodard and Amy Irving for Best Supporting Actress at Method Fest for the Mynah Films feature film Fiona’s Script.
Today’s interview: I have been excited to share since I first spoke with Jim Thalman. Within only a few moments, I knew that I had, in my possession, an amazing interview. Jim was kind enough to speak with me for over an hour, and his knowledge of the industry and the craft of acting is impressive.
I am excited to announce a special Success Story interview. I am a huge fan of The Asylum, from AE: Apocalypse Earth to Z Nation. Dominic Pace from their latest hit Megalodon agreed to give us a behind the scenes look at acting and share his Success Story.
