Footage from the long-awaited Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora video game was revealed at the mid-point of Ubisoft Forward presentation.
The Avatar Project was first announced by Ubisoft in 2017, with Massive Entertainment in Malmö set to bring the world of Pandora to life. The video game is based on James Cameron's 2009 film, Avatar.

While an exact release date is not yet known, following delays, the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game trailer gives a glimpse at the Na'vi's fighting style as they go up against the militant forces of the RDA in an airborne battle between helicopters and the Na'vi aflight Leonopteryxs. The trailer gives showcases the same cinematic qualities that made Cameron's Avatar a major blockbuster.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment – a Ubisoft studio, in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney.
Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine, and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.
In this new, standalone story, play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora. Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it.
This is not the first Avatar video game from Ubisoft. In 2009, the third-person action video game, Avatar: The Game, was released alongside the film's theatrical run. It sold over 2.7 million copies.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to release in 2022, exclusively for next-generation consoles and PC.
